Lita Albuquerque to mentor Los Angeles Art Association artists for 2007 Mentoring Program

Los Angeles Art Association/Gallery 825 is pleased to announce LAAA's 2007 mentoring exhibition opportunity.

This successful program provides mentoring opportunities for LAAA artists with celebrated art professionals. In 2005 and 2006, LAAA artists collaborated with accomplished installation artist Barbara T. Smith and internationally renowned sculptor Tim Hawkinson.

This year, straight from her amazing Stellar Axis Antarctica earthwork installation, artist Lita Albuquerque has agreed to guide six LAAA artists on a collaborative process that will culminate in an exhibition at Gallery 825 in September 2007.

Read more about Lita on her website: www.litaalbuquerque.com.

Lita's influence will provide the participating artists with a challenging and compelling subtext as the collaborative process unfolds. This mentoring experience is comprised of (at least) 2 meetings at Lita's studio and later collaborative work in service of the exhibition at Gallery 825.
