I studied philosophy and history at the Evergreen State College in Olympia and later received my Master's Degree in film from CalArts in Valencia, California.
My primary medium is video. My work is an expression of my interest in formal experimentation, depictions of time and dimensional space as well as relationships between concepts of nature, human consciousness, and the natural world. I count among my influences experimental film, traditional art forms, and books (philosophy, history, literature). I use digital video and photographs, video effects software and, more recently, CGI and process-oriented software to produce my work. Much of my work is shot documentary style on location. |
