The next LAAA/Gallery 825 Artist Membership Screening will be held
February 4, 7 & 8, 2012.
Drop off times (no appointment necessary):
- Saturday, February 4: 10:30a to 5p
- Tuesday, February 7: 10:30a to 5p
- Wednesday, February 8: 10:30a to 5p

Gallery 825 invites you to join us for a pre-screening orientation.

Membership screenings are held twice a year, at the beginning and middle of each calendar year. (Dates will be posted 3 months prior to screening.)
Applicants must submit the following five (5) materials during the membership screening period:
- Two (2) original pieces of artwork created within the last 3 years.
Rules & Guidelines for submitting artwork are as follows:
- Framed work and work on paper/canvas must be no larger than 5'x5' in either direction.
- No rolled canvases will be accepted.
- Unframed pieces must be professionally presented in a portfolio, mounted or otherwise protected.
- Sculpture must be no larger than 4'x4'x4'.
- Film and video pieces must be submitted on VHS or DVD.
- Installation work must be submitted in the form of documentation, i.e. slides, photo, VHS or DVD, along with a sample/article from the installation.
LAAA will consider work in all media, but no craft or functional art will be reviewed.
- Three (3) 8"x10" digital printouts of additional artwork, properly labeled and submitted in a full page plastic sheet.
- Artist Statement (150 words or less)
- Membership Application
- Non-refundable application fee: $35 (make checks payable to LAAA)

All work is reviewed by the exhibition committee and guest jurors. Work will be picked up the Saturday following the screening.
Notification of acceptance or non-acceptance will be made in letter form and will be distributed on the day of pick up.
If accepted, membership dues of $250 annually (prorated in July) must be paid prior to being able to submit for shows.
