Wrathful Battle Aspect
Reception:

Show dates:
March 20 to April 16

Los Angeles Art Association (LAAA) is proud to present Wrathful Battle Aspect, a group exhibition exploring personal, civic, cultural and global conflict opening at Gallery 825 on March 20, 2010.
Wrathful Battle Aspect is juried by Michelle Pobar, Director of Honor Fraser, Los Angeles.

In addition to the group exhibition, Gallery 825 also features solo exhibitions by Gina Genis, Zig Gron, Koji Iijima, and Johnny Naked.
Gina Genis' Window Peeping exhibition is an unvarnished photographic examination of the cultural, social, familial, and biological complexity of average American senior citizens. While formally and technically sophisticated, this series of photographs is most noteworthy for the emotive and spontaneous glimpses of everyday retirement community life.

Zig Gron's three-screen video projection installation, 7 Billion Billionaires is an aesthetic representation of synergistic impulses – exploring ways in which small, seemingly insignificant images can merge to create an entity much more powerful than any of the individual parts.

Koji Iijima's solo exhibition, Between Emergency and Fantasy comments on the intersection of our personal fantasies and the all-too-real invasiveness of political issues, ethnic bias, epidemics and disasters.

My Ad Here: nakedslave4art.com is provocateur Johnny Naked's ambitious follow-up to his celebrated Ever Changing Naked Picture Project. My Ad Here: nakedslave4art.com is a playful, and sadly dead-on assessment of human trafficking, objectification and class in 2010.
