Los Angeles Art Association is proud to feature artist Erika Lizee at Art Palm Springs 2018
February 15-19, 2018 at the Palm Springs Convention Center.
Opening night February 15, 2018
Erika Lizée is awed by the vast intricacies of the world we live in. With an ever-shifting and nebulous boundary between what is known and unknown, our limited understanding of life is constantly in flux. In her artwork, she creates installations based on the idea that gallery walls can serve as symbolic thresholds between life and death, between what is tangible and intangible, known and unknown. Beyond the surface, mysterious and complex biomorphic forms coalesce, while other forms expand and emerge into the physical realm of the viewer. For Lizée, the work speaks to the deep-rooted questions we have always faced in relation to the existence of the universe and our role in it.
