I make art because I like to make art. I ended up a printmaker. I often make prints that look like paintings, but printers use ink and plates and painters use canvass and brushes. I seldom edition work. I am always experimenting so my pieces do not appear stylistically or thematically consistent. I endure colossal disappointment, learning from my mistakes.
I like to think of the pieces shown here as surprising glimpses of greater clarity. Large backgrounds surround images that elaborate or clarify the image. This can be likened to viewing Henry Moore’s sculpture because sometimes the observer looks through the hole to the other side and sometimes one just looks at the whole.
