Los Angeles Art Association has proudly partnered with the City of West Hollywood for 11 consecutive years on OUT THERE, a special exhibition celebrating Pride Month at Gallery 825.

LAAA believes that all artists (including underserved populations) are worthy of support and exposure and that artists flourish and gain confidence in their skills as a direct result of their work being acknowledged and validated by the larger arts community. By exhibiting works celebrating West Hollywood’s unique role in the LGBT community during Gay Pride Month, LAAA hopes to provide local artists and the larger West Hollywood community with greater access and understanding of the current contemporary art world. As with all credible juried exhibitions, LAAA initiates an “Open Call” for artists through a print and online prospectus (‘call for entries’) disbursed to the largest possible population of targeted artists. LAAA does not inhibit the aesthetic content or material, but all selected artwork must be created by local artists and be available for this celebration of West Hollywood’s premiere role in the Gay Pride Celebration. Past Jurors of OUT THERE have included noted curators and art professionals Jessica Silverman, Cliff Benjamin, William Escalera and Francisco George.
