Artist Statement

The way I approach each portrait or figure is how it feels not just how it looks. I always notice the shadow first and I dig deep in it and wonder how can I pull out what is hiding in there.

That gives me some answers and hints. I slowly start finding out my way forming all the layers that builds up that human on the inside first. Leaving the viewer feel and see what a certain expression or layout of a soul triggers in them. The history of the strokes build up leads to the final shape and feel of the painting. I keep working till I get a hint of life and movement that is when I know the painting is finished.
