Artist Statement
I am enchanted and fascinated by the essence of light. Captivated by how it plays with color, manipulates form and creates mood.
That’s what draws me to a particular landscape. What inspires me to create an inspirational portrait.
Faithful representation, but so much more. Flowers, fields, skies, mountains, object… and people. Paraffin, dyes on silk fabrics or silkscreens, depicted on canvas using acrylic, oil paintings, silk thread, Photography. Art creation and education. A Master of Fine Arts from Ewha Womens University, founded in 1886 South Korea. I’ve taught public school, college, and have owned my own art school.
I use my art to connect with my audience. To share what I love and my hope for a better world.
