Glenn Grubbs

Artist Statement

Glenn’s work is deeply influenced by the petroglyph art of the ancient people of the American Southwest, and modern artists such as Paul Klee and Wilfredo Lam.  He expresses his joy of life using color and composition in creating lyrical paintings of his experiences, travels and memories.

Glenn studied art at Radford University in Virginia, and Arizona State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Fine Art in Painting in 1992.  He continued his studies at ASU, earning a Master of Architecture degree in 1999, and is a licensed architect in the State of Arizona.

In addition to his active art studio in the foothills of Joshua Tree National Park, he currently serves as the Deputy Public Works Officer for the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center in 29 Palms, California.
