Artist Statement

My work is a convergence of graphic shapes, patterns, symbols, and gestured abstraction, and is driven by an obsessive search for unfamiliar and uncanny imagery. The work is inspired by philosophical questions of where humans are going in our fast-paced, technologically driven society, fascinations by evolution and the primitive, and is challenged by the use of traditional media in its making.
