Art is a unique mirror of reality that helps explain our world. The Artist conceptualizes the physical world and its place in history by creating works that stimulate cultural awareness in places where there often seems no culture to appreciate. My work is a reflection of the place I inhabit in Southern California. A place once well managed are respected by Native Americans before the establishment of European sensibilities. Our local mountain ranges are one of the few areas left that have not or cannot be further deconstructed or monetized by the individual. Yet all individuals today are still free to enjoy their natural native beauty. I also paint from photographs local histories left to the present day in black and white on a variety of topical and individual issues. I hope to stimulate curiosity and discussion of Southern California and its place in the past and present.
