Artist Statement
Candy Scott (Lola Josa) is a French artist based in Los Angeles. After eight years as a professional model in Paris, Geneva, Prague, Budapest, and Colombia, she now uses her body as a blank canvas. She applies slime, wax, latex, and acrylic paint to the skin and photographs the work with Aaron Ran. The photographs are fine art. They ask the viewer to feel force, liberation, and combat.
