Artist Statement
My work is autobiograph and personal. Each piece depicts a bit of my life, my thoughts, my feelings, my philosphy. However, in 2021, I have felt the need to focus on peace, serenity and calm. My new series is using mixed media collage to create imaginary Japanese style landscapes which retain the peace and tranquility of traditional Japanese art, but completely modernize that art form. I am playing with space, texture, and design and adding western art elements..
