I am an emotional painter. What you see is the result of what I'm feeling or responding to at the time of its creation. The framework within which these expressions take place are primarily landscape, though in the large perhaps a texture or an horizon, a tree, or a dream. However, there is rarely more than a skeletal outline of a subject when I begin & even that may change as I am working. Music, poetry, a view, or a news report, can all awaken for me a need to express joy, sadness, awe, tranquility or anger. My art is my voice, my response.
