Artist Statement
Like many kids growing up, I was immersed in the world of imagery absorbed from a life exposed to the lexicon of cartoon imagery.
As an adult, that super-saturated, violent world of animated characters grotesquely distorting themselves in reaction to impossible scenarios has seeped back into my paintings. The surreal aspect of monsters and human beings battling for their conflicting interests is strangely akin to current events. These struggles are reimagined through the world of robots, animals, dinosaurs, battling out psychological dramas
