Call for submissions: LAAA 100th Anniversary book
Call for Artists: Los Angeles Art Association 100th Anniversary book. Los Angeles Art Association is excited to celebrate 100 years of service to emerging artists in 2025. We are pleased to announce that LAAA Volume 7 will be a key part of the 100th anniversary celebration. This new publication will commemorate our celebrated history as well as featuring the work of current artist. We are anticipating that this 100th Anniversary book will gain great exposure.
As we await the pending arrival of Volume 6 (arriving this spring), we now are planning Los Angeles Art Association Volume VII the 100th anniversary book survey book of emerging artists. For Volume 7, the 100th anniversary book, each participating artist will be featured on 1 or 2 pages in this hardcover catalog and we will include a short 1 paragraph bio for each artist as well as your website. These catalogs are shared with LAAA's cultural partners, curators, jurors, donors and collectors and gives our audience a great overview of our talented artist base. For Volume 7 we will be intentional with the marketing of the book to a gallery audience and we will be shipping copies to 200 top galleries in the USA. The cost for participation is $200 for 1 page or $300 for 2 pages which contributes to the cost of publication. Each participating artist will receive 3 copies. Publication date will be February 2024. Deadline for submission is March 30, 2024.
Important: at this submission stage we are only asking for low res images for upload - after your piece has been selected, we will request a high resolution image. After you are notified of selection, we you will receive instructions for the high resolution upload.
ABOUT THE LOS ANGELES ART ASSOCIATION VOLUME 7 EMERGING ARTIST SURVEY CATALOG:
* LAAA will celebrate our 100 years of promoting emerging artists and publish an emerging art survey catalog/book representing participating artists.
* The book will be available at Gallery 825, third party galleries, other retail outlets and will be a "Who's Who" of the Los Angeles art scene.
* LAAA will be shipping 200 copies to top galleries in the USA. Each book will now include a short 1 paragraph bio as well as your website for easy contact by galleries.
* Available in February 2025, this full color, high-end art book will serve as a signature survey of the very best emerging Southern California artists for collectors, art professionals and art lovers.
* Great gifts for collector base/friends/family.
TERMS OF PARTICIPATION:
Each participating artist must agree to:
* The cost per artist to be included in the book is $200 for 1 page or $300 for 2 pages. Each participating artist will receive 3 free catalogs. (Catalog will retail for $60 each) Additional copies are available to participating LAAA artists at the cost of $20. Please let us know how many additional books you would like to pre-order.
* This book will be curated so if you are interested in participating, please upload 5 images for consideration by March 30, 2024. There is a file limitation at this stage, but LAAA will request a high resolution image for the selected piece.
* Curatorial decisions are final. LAAA reserves the right to refuse artists' participation if curator rejects any artwork. If your work is not selected or you cannot secure high resolution images, you will receive a full refund.
* We will also be enforcing the catalog deadlines with Volume 5. If you wish to participate, please note the March 30 deadline.
* You will receive notification of the selection via email.
